EDUCATION - ELEMENTARY EDUCATION (GRADES K-6), A.S.

   ABOUT THIS DEGREE

This program satisfies the Education, Elementary Transfer Single Articulation Pathway (TSAP) created under Indiana Senate Enrolled Act 182 passed in 2013. Students selecting this curriculum will begin their preparations for a career as elementary education teachers in grades K through 6. These courses provide the first two years of a four-year degree program leading to teacher licensing. The curriculum can also provide the foundation for careers in a variety of child-care occupations other than teaching. Upon completion, students may consider continuing their education at Vincennes University in the SPECIAL EDUCATION, MILD INTERVENTION K-12 BACHELOR OF SCIENCE program, which leads to licensing in both elementary education (K-6) and special education, mild intervention (K-12).
